UC: chopping down 100,000 trees in the east bay hills

i just signed move on’s petition at
they are planning to cut 100,000 trees!!!!!!!from the berkeley hills. this is what i wrote:
no end runs around EIRs. those trees 1) hold soil against land- and mud slides, 2) moderate the bay area’s climate; 3) make homes for thousands of species on which a balanced ecology depends. 4) act as wind and fire breaks. what is UC thinking of? (besides building 100s of new campus buildings on that land?) please sign & share widely.
