TONIGHT! SILENT SCREEN SUNDAY:
THE COMEDY COOKIE JAR #2.
MOVIES! MOVIES! MOVIES! MOVIES!
Sunday, March 29th
at the

Art House Gallery & Cultural Center
2905 Shattuck Ave, Berkeley, CA 94705.
Phone (510) 472-3170.

For this evening it’s the ’20s again, and movies are better than ever!
There’s plenty of one-reel film fun from this ‘funnest’ of decades,

introduced by ‘Celluloid Rose’ (Annie Lore). The very live piano accompanist
will be the irrepressible Ellen Hoffman (and her Amazing Flying Fingers).

Those who like to dress for other times might think of trotting out their 20s togs for the occasion.

Whatever you wear, just come prepared to relax and get comfortable. And laugh!

Some featured titles are:

POST NO BILLS” (1923) Paul Parrott gets the word out, but good
in this Hal Roach release. Paul Parrott is Charley Chase’s brother.

COURT PLASTER” (1924) Process-serving takes a strange turn.
A really crazy Christie comedy with Jack Duffy and Neal Burns.

NIFTY NUMBERS” (1928) Frances Lee & Billy Engle in a frothy romp,
part of the saucy Christie “Confessions of a Chorus Girl” series.

STRICTLY MODERN” (1922) Snub Pollard jazzes up a creaky old
hotel with half-baked inventions, Marie Mosquini joining the fray.

PLUS!

GRIEF IN BAGDAD” (1925) A lavish send up of the Fairbanks
“Thief of Bagdad”, with one slight difference in casting.

AND MORE!

Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 7:30.

Suggested donation is $10-$20, Children 12 and under are free.

There are potluck munchies, with hot and cold beverages available for sale.

Suitable for all ages! And the Art House is wheelchair accessible.
